Today I went to the Melodyne Fix page and entered in my serial numbers only to be told it was NOT a dupliacte! I bit the bullet and decided to call Cakewalk support, only to find out they don't give telephone support until 1pm EST, Im in the UK. For instance, using a Time Stretching pluggin, My favorite is Waves Soundshifter, set in tempo mode Original Tempo-120 Stretch To-140 or a little more, like to 160.
Set both faders at unity, soloed the tracks and hit Play. Once you have a good vocal take recorded. Pulled a copy of the original (non MD'd) region onto an empty track and inserted the Gain plug and hit the Phase Invert button. 3: 01-20-2013 06:36 PM: Need Melodyne Plugin 1.0. I did by email on the 26th January, Im still awaiting a response other than the 'we've recieved your message' response. I Transferred 8 bars of a vocal into Melodyne Editor 2.1.0 and closed the plug-in window (untouched audio). After messages back and forth, they advised me to contact Cakewalk. I contacted Celemony, who were highly efficient with responses and they confirmed that I'd already upgraded the number to Editor. After that, your are a registered Celemony customer (or you failed to register and activate Melodyne with Celemony, Cakewalk did not automatically take care of that step). I went to register my 'new' Melodyne Essentials that I thought I'd gotten with my upgrade to Sonar Platinum only to get an automated response from Celemony that it had already been registered. Use the Melodyne installer bundled with SONAR for the very first install only.
Is that what happened to you? Why does Cakewalk have to be involved in your case?

Leemac, When I sent my serial number to Celemony, they said it was registered to another person and asked me to confirm that I am that person. However, Cakewalk are not, a week later and still no reply from Cakewalk support, so don't hold your breath for a reply from them. Celemony were very efficient at answering my emailed questions.
I assumed I'd be getting a different number and my idea was that Id have another licence for more installations. Saxon1066 leemac I had the very same error, Celemony informed me that the number I was trying to register (The essentials registration number i recieved with Sonar Platinum) was the same number I had upgraded to Editor that I recieved with X3.
